The Mayor, Mr. C. F. Atmore, reported to We'dnesday "night's meeting of t'he . Otaki ' Borough Council that an estimate . of the cost of new roading, channelling, kerbing and . footpaths having been received, the sections opposite the Tasman Beach camp site were now ready for disposal. i Various metho'ds had' been considered by the committee appointed to act in the matter, and it was considered that as auction saies of land had lost their value by virute of being affected by the Land Saies Act, it had been decided to call for tenders for the sections. Advertisements had been duly inssrted I and a reserve price had been plac- j ed on them. | The town clerk, Mr. Alex. Wil- i gon, reported having had five early ! applications. ' i '• It was decided to advertise extensively, tenders to close on Janu-1-ary 10. The form of tender may be inspecte'd at the council's office.
