Town Planning Committee Appointed
The investigation of town planning for Otaki and the preparation of a scheme was recommended at We'dnesday night's meeting of the Otaki Borough Council. It "was ma'de by Crs. E. J. Cook and N/D. Anderson, who attended a recent conference of local bodies m Levin, at which an officer of the town planning section of the ; Internal Affairs Department out- ' iined the 'benefits of a scheme. ' Follov/ing discussion. dui'ing j which it was revealed that the im- j pression had been gat'hered that j the department would make an j officer available for consu^taticn ' when a scheme was being prepar-j ed, it was deci'ded to set up a town ! planning committee. All council- j lors were anpointed to it.
