Regulations Disregarded By Builder
An application. by a .builder for 1 a permit to erecfc' a workshop came before the Otaki Borough Council; on We'dnesday night.. The Mayor, Mr. C. F. Atmore, stated that the plan and speciflcations in their present form did not comply wxth the standard required, , and - that t'ne council had stopped the erection of the workshop, which had 'been commenced. • Councillors expressed concern that a man in the building trade shoul'd be treating the regulations almost with contempt, and stated that he had had the position explained on a former occasion. ■ It was deci'ded that he be written to and told that in future he must submit his plans with a complete set of specifications. The building inspector is to be asiked to furnish a report on the position also. '
