Entered Dominion Without Permit
WELLINGTON, Dec%8. Stated by Ms couusql, Mr. G. I. •Josepli, to have served with the Norwegian uiidei'g'i'ouiid forces aad been decorated for gallahtry, Kohrad Busk, aged 31, a ship's engineer, pleaded guilty in the Magistrate's Court today to entering the country without a permit, he being a prohibited immigrant. A suggestion by Mr. Josepli that the case niiglit be adjourned to enable accused to try to secure a permit, was adopted by the Magistrate, Mr. A. M. Goulding, and the case was adjourned until J^nuary 17. . . For the Customs Department, Mr. J. T. Martin said aeeused canie to New Zealand as seeond engineer on a Norwegian tanker on Noveniber 30, and left the ship after some trouble with the mate. Mr. Martin ask-ed that aeeused be detained until a deportation order eould be inhde. Objecting to this application, Mr. Josepli said that aeeused liad a good eharacter and education and his record in the underground forAes had been outstanding. He would make a good citizen of New Zealand, being a fully quali(ied engineer.
