Social Function For Boys Of Training Centre
In appreciation of the helpfulness and civic mindedness shown ,by the" staff , and ,boys of ,the,Levin Training Centre, a number of local organisations will tender them a social evening in the St. Mary's Hall tomorrow night. At a meeting of the ..Levin Borough .Council on Monday night, the Mayor., Mr. H. B. 'Burdekin, made • reference to the large amount of work done by the centre staff and boys for organisations in the town, commending them on the manner in- which they readily volunteered to help. He extended an invitation to all the emnci'lots and their wives to attend, stating that he would be pleased to see all present. The organisations tendering the social are the Ladies' Bowlihg Club, Junior Chamber of Commerce, ' HoroWhenua Marching Association, Levin Athletic and Cycling Club, St. Mary's Guild, Levin Horticultural Society, Levin Play Centre and Returned Services' Association. All the members of the above organisations are invited to attend.
