Pig Values Firm Despite Heavy Entry
In spite of a very large yarding of pigs at the Levin sale yesterday, the sale firmed as it progressed. Eat sheep were in slightly bettef demand than iast week as were fat , P.A. heif ers. The sale for ox b-eef j and fat P.A. • Cows was not very keen. "Fat ex-dairy cows sold on a [ par with recent* values. A line of , four and six-tooth wethers off the hills met with a ready . sale, ' teaching 37S. A smaller line of : two^tooth wethers- off sand coun- ! try made 32s 9d. Store pigs were still in keen demand. . A ver'y light , yatdidg of dairy and store stock met with a fair sale, While run . cattle yafded, P.A. cows and calves, empty P.A. cows and small, two-year.
