This is the outcome of reprc I scntations made to the Winister of TnI ternat Affairs, ^rr. Parry, by the Park Board. JMembers of the departnient 's outside staff, under the supervision ot yir. E. jNIcGregor, travelled to Horopito last week and within the next vveek or tvo the western side of Ht. iiuapehu and the Waihohoru area vvi.ll I be shot over in an attempt to rid the I park of deer wliieh are causing damage. To make a survey of the damage done by the deer, Alr. McGregor visited the park about 10 years ago. Tlien. hovvever, there were too few to warrant the employnien't of men in their destruction.
