Pianoforte And Vocal Recital

On Frlday evening the ■ Anglican Hall, Otaki, was the scene of . a happy informal gathering, when the pupils of Miss Margaret Lawrie enuertained their parents to a recital of pianoforte and voGal items. The're were between 50 and 60 guests present. T\ie works presented ranged from the more advanced class.cs, played by the older pupils, to 'uhe simple pieces of th6 very early grades. All gave a very creditable performance and generous applause greeted each item. As each performer jleft the stage a bouquet was presented. j Examination awards from the IRoyal School of Music were receiv!ed by Joy and Valerie Johnson, of | Te Horo. . , i At the conCusion of the musical i programms games were enjoyed, jfollowed by supper.
