NEW PLYMOUTH, Dec. 6. Hit in tlie tciuple bv a piece of river motai during blasting, a prisoner at thc Waikune prison camp was killed instantlv todav. He was William Rangi taura, aged 33. The accident oceurred at the prison I quarry at the Whalcapapanui streani wliere metal was being blasted from tlie stream bed. Rang'itaura was about 100 yards avvay from the scene.
