R.S.A. Children's Party

The women's seetion of the Shannon Returned Services' As-.-.lation held a well organised and successful Christmas party for the children of local returned servicemen in the Druids' Hall on Saturday evening. Father Christmas made his appearance after numerous "telegrams" announced his progress to Shannon. With no parties last year on account of the epidemic precautions, very many of the young folk present were having their first experience of seeing Santa Clause, and • receiving a gift from his hands. The women's seetion members, led by their president, Mrs. S. W. Barber, were assisted in the running of the rroeramme of games and dances by Messrs. J. T. Bovis, F. O. Burtt and B. Clayton.
