Personal Mrs. J. Hallam, who is in hospital -at Palmerston' North, is now making good progress and expects to be horpe before Christmas. Messrs H. Curran and A. Judd, who have been spending a few days in . -Christchurch, returned home on Tuesda-y. Mrs. S. Slieddon, who has been holidaying with Mr. and Mrs. E. Chester, Stout Street, returned to. her home in. the Wairarapa on Monday. Mr. L. Coulter, wfio has been having conside-rable trouble for thepast eighteen . months as the result of an accide'nt, is now making excellent progress and expects that the result of the present treatment will be satisfactory. Mr. Coulter fractured his leg while dismantling the goal posts in the domain at the end of - the . 1947 foothall season. Enjoyable Bowling Outing A large party of Shannon bowlers paid an official visit to the Foxton Bowling Club on Sunday, spending the whole day on the Foxton green. They reported a most enjoyable day, with perfect weather, keen bowling and friendly hospitality.
