Daring Play Causes Theatre World Stir
Received Tuesdav, 11.30 p.m. LONDON, Nov. 30. A 45-veai'-oll ex-soldier .who wrote 30 plays and lore tliem up, has caused a stir in the Fondon theatre world with his 31st, a three-act drama dealing with artificial human insemination. The rights to produce this play "Breacli of IMarriage, " which still awaits its first public. presentation, have already been sought by interests in eight other eountries and many eompanies are also bidding for the film rights. The author is a Loiulon free lance journalist who uses the nom-de-p'lume Tan .Suthorland. lle wrote the script in five days after three vears of reaearch. The theme of the play touches oue of Ihe niost cont ro versial subjects debaled in this and other eountries in recent years and oue on which religious leailers and doctors expressed strong Views. The play opons in the West Fnd in .Tamiarv and the Lord Chamberlain 's Office, contrary to expectations, deleted onlv two words of doubtfu; taste from the original seript.
