Scouts Gathered Bottles In Big Way On Saturday
Residents in the western si'de of Levin showed their appreciation of ! the boy scouts to the extent of £25 16s 9d on^ Saturday, for that was the amount which the bottles and rags collected from the area realised. Altogether it was a great day for the collectors and well worth the organisation and work put into the drive. Every where they went the collectors found a ready response to their request, many residents even having thefif contributions at the gate. Work was carried on at high pressure throughout the day, but that was something which did not worry the boys at all. It was their big day and they made the most of it, and everything went smoothly and to schedule. Next Saturday it will be. the residents on the eastern side of the borough who will be asked to "bring out their bottles." The scouts don't mind how many.
