CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 10. Fdr an hour and a-half from just before 10 o'clock, Christchurch was
without trams and,- buses while the employees held a stopwork meeting. The service was.restored before 11.30 a.m. » j There was an attendance of more than 350 men and two or three. women employees. The meeting' passed resolutions endorsing the action of the national executive in calling the meeting in the tramway centres and the action of the con-j cillation assessors in resisting the emplpyers' counter-claims on con-{ dition that the ballot to be counted1 in Wellington was taken on whether. the proceedings should be continued, and on whether the union should seek jle-registration from the Industrial Conciliationi and Arbitration Act and re-registerl under the Labour Disputes Act. 1
