U.S. AID SPEEDED UP
1 Received Tuesday, 10.45 a.m. WASHINGTON, Nov. 1. The United States Government approved arms purehases of 5,000,00 dollars by China during the weekend as the Chinese Communists won control of Manchuria. Officials said today that disbursements from the 125,000,000 dollars voted for military aid to the Nationalist Government now tota'l about 110,000,000 dollars. The shipment of American small arms, ammunition and other military equipment had been speeded up by the collapse of Generalissimo Chiang Kai-shek's forces in Manehuria, but the effort to bolster the Government had been reported to have been complicated by the loss of large quantities of American munitions in the fighting around Mukden.
