Route For Royal Tour

The Foxton District High School Committee has received a letter from the Department of Intemal Affairs, in reply to its re'quest for information as to which route the Royal party would take from Palmerston North osoiith, advising that it' was not possible to disclose this information at present, but when the itinerary was published the route would be shown. Thd committee is optimistic that the route will be through Foxton, but, in any case, it is determined to ensure that the Foxton children have the opportunity, if at all possible, of seeing the Royal visitors. Shannon is also intere'sted in the route and it is understood that it is the aim of all local organisations to 'have the Royal party pro.ceed through Shannon.
