PLEA TO BIG THREE
Break Deadiock Over Atomic Energy Control Reeeived Tuesday, 10.20 a.m. PARIS, Oct. 11. Sir Bengal Narsihga Rau, Indian chairman of the United Nations Eleven Nation Sub-committee on Atomic Energy Control, pleaded with the United States, Britain and Russia to break the deadiock over the control of atomic energy. "Think of the psychological effect on a world harassed by anxiety if we could say that the deadiock had been broken." He called upon the commission to resume its work, study all matters within its term of reference and prepare for submission to the Security Council a dxaft treaty or convention incorporating the commission's ultimate proposals. Russia's Mr. Jacob Malik promised to study the Indian proposal. Britain's Mr. Miles said that he was very doubtful' whether a new basis for discussio-n' had been established.
