Reeeived Mondav, 8.20 p.m. MANILA, Oct. 11. A new wave of viol ence left 16 Filipinos dead on Luzon yesterday. Thirteen persons died in a elash with hukhalaliaps (Communist led oiitlaws) and three others were killed iu an ambush of a United States Armv jeep. According to reports, Philippines law enforcement officials are getting ready for a long drawn out campnign against the dissident elements. The situation has reached the point where it is uq longer safe to be on the highways outside the city limits after darfe.
