Austad; chairman of the .executive of the New Zealand Marching Association, arrived in Levin today and confe^red with Manawatu Centte oflicials on arrangements for the North Island marchipg phaippiopships, to be held in Palmerston North ^ next February, Tonight Mr. and Mrs. ; Austad will be guests at the HOrowhenua Assoeiation's annual ball. Mr. F. R. jBodle, managihg director of Reliance Tyre and Rubber Co. (Manawatu) Litnited; left on Wednesday for Auckland, en route to the United States of America. Mr. Bodle will be station-, ed for the most part in Akron, which is virtually the hub of the tyre industry in the States. While there he vdll be compjeting a course on the latest methods in tyre recapping with new types of equipnient whieh his cotnpany is; importing.
