New Approach To Paralysis Promised

AVELLINGTON, Sept. 7. The Health Department will shortly announce a new approach to the problem of preventing the spread of polio infection, said the Minister of Health, Miss Howard, when nnswering an urgent question in the House of Representatives todav. Mr. C. M. Bowden asked whether, in addition to elosing schools to prevent children congregating, it was also intended to close pieture theatres to children. Miss Howard replied tliat it was proposed to keep the AVellington and Hutt district schools closed for the present weekmnly. Parents were expected to keep their children away from pieture theatres and other eongregations during this time.
