Miscalculation Of Cost Of Dental Services

According to the British Dental Assoeiation, the expenditure upon the denta1 section of the Government soei'al securitv and health services, has in two montlis sinee the scheme was intro dueed, nearly e.xeeeded the total amount of £7,000,000 set aside for the Tui i year. At the present rate of exjienditure, the assoeiation considers the State's dental bill will exeeed the esti mates by at l'east £20,000,000. According to the Daily Telegraph, the expenditure upon modical, optiea.' and dental services is proving so heavv that new estimates are already being prepared to ' eover the de/iciencies. Some leaders of the Dental Assoeiation consider the present scheme will break down and that sooner or later the .Min istrv of Health will be forced to recon sider the whole position.
