Terrorism in Malaya
Received, Tuesdav, 11 p.m. BINGAPORE, 'Sept. 7. Two Gurklias died of wounds Jast night when terrarists ambushed a^niilitarv patrol 12 miles from Ijioh. Terrorists last night attacked an estate near Batu Pahat, north-west Johore, and burned down the estate factory and other buildings. A combined force of Siamese police suid marines elashed with a band of 120 insurgents near the Siam-.Malaya bord r during the weekend. The insurgents, who are described as Muslim Malays, have been isolated by Government forees who are now preparjng measures to have them destroyed as a force. AVi'despread banditrv and worsening unrest in Siam's southern provinees bordering Malaya, are reported. Bandit gangs and Communist gangs who entered the country from Malaya are "opjiressing the rich, opposing Government authority and terrorising the po|mla tion."
