Seeking to establish themselves in Levin is a young couple from Timaru. They like the town. They want to stay, but their efforts are , likely to be thwarted by lack of ae- | commodation. With their three | small children they have been ex- j isting up till now in a single room, but even this meagre "home" will , soon be deniecL them for the ten- ■ ancy has now been terminated and , they are now forced to find alter- ' native accommodation. ! NIn desperation. they have sought the assistance of the Mayor, Mr. H. B. Burdekin, who has brought tlieir case to the notice of the supervisor ; of State Housing, Palmerston North. An effort will be friade to find them a State house, but their problem is to find accommodation until one is available. Meanwhile, the Mayor wishes, tfirough this newspaper, to appeal to citizens qf Levin for assistance in finding this family temporary accommodation. The husband is an ek-serviceman. One of the children is aged fopy and the other two, who are twins, are aged one and a-half. Can anyone help?
