Methodist Guild Meets

The monthly meeting of the St. | John's Methodist. La'dies' Guild was held in the Bible Class rooms recently, Mrs, Kennerley Qresiding and leading the devotions. A piece from ojue of Rita- Snowden's most recent books was also rea'd. ! There were 19 members present, a number of apologies being received from those sick and others unable to attend. c Final arrangements were .made for. a social afternoon to senior members and friends-. Correspondence, was rea'd from recipients of food parcels sent to Britain. Further parcels are to be packed early in September, and the work will be done in the Century Hall. , The visiting committee reported making 18 visits. Arrange- ! ments were completed for the "Woodland Fair," which is to be j held in the Century Hall on Tuesday, September 28. Afternoon tea was then servgd and the meeting closd with the Benediction. The hostesses were Mesdames Allwood | and Tomlinson and they were Uaccorded a hearty vote of thanks.
