Although falls were even, Earl McCrea'dy was given a decision over Blll Kuusisto in a professional wrestling bout at Napier. Kuusisto made the contest willing for the full eight rounds, securing a fall in the fourth with a headlock and body press while McCready scored in the sixth round with the ever popular rolling splits.
