The Ohau Hall was packed with badminton enthusiasts on Saturday night to watch the Horowhenua representatives play the Wellington rep. team. The home team is to be congratulated on the high standar^ of their play in holding the visitors to a score of eignt games each, but winning on a count back by 221 pojnts to 208, Individual results of the gamesplayed were as follows, Horowhenua piayers being mentioned first in each instauce: — Men's singles: H. Benning beat D. Smith 21 — 19, J, Bryant beat M. Colpus 21 — 12, L. Staples beat G. McCullough 21 — 6, M. Staples lost to E. Staples 18—21. Ladies' singles: Miss M. Fuller lost to Mrs. Pointon 10 — 15, Miss M. Karauti lost to Miss Millei: 12 — 15, Mrs. Porter beat Mrs. Twort 15—9, Miss M. Bevan beat Miss Campbell 15—6. _ ' Men's doubles: Benning and L. Staples beat Smith and Colpus 15— 14, Bryant and M. Staples los.t to McCullough and E. Staples 8 — 15. Ladies' doubles: Misses Karauti and Bevan lost to Mrs. Pointoh and Miss Miller 9 — 15, Mrs. Porter and Miss fuller lo§t to Mrs. Twort and Miss Campbell 8 — 15. Combined doubles: Benning and Miss -Karauti beat Smith and Miss Campbell 15 — 13, Bryant and Mrs, Porter beal^ Colpus and Mrs. Pointon 15 — 3, M. In a match between the B teams of -the two associations, Wellington beat Horowhenua by 12 games to fouX.
