Horticultural Society Plans Year's Activities

The annual meeting of the Otaki Horticultural and Daffodil Society was held recently, when the usual enthusiasts attended to discuss the welfare and progress of the society for the coming year. Tribute was paid to the excellent service rendered during three years of office as president by Mr. E. T. Bartosh. it was decided to hold the spring show on Friday, September 10, when large entries are expected from the Otaki and district gardening pupils. As 1949 is the jubilee year of the society, it is the intenjtion of the committee to hold a I special summer show at a date to be decided on later. It is hoped to compile a short history of the society's activities since its inception for incorporation in the special catalogue to be issued for the fixture.
