Cameron, ; Who have joined the division. Information in regard to the "on the spot" refreshment booth conducted by the president and Mrs. J. , A. Easton'at the July stock sale was , given by Mrs. Mitchell,' "who stated ' that with the proceeds a large parcel had been dispatched to Britain. Mesdames R. J. Miers and. C. Guerin offered to conduct the booth at the- Ahgust feale. ' • -■ •• - : ' It. Members contributed Id each for membership in connection • with the A.C.W.W. organisation. Mrs. Mitchell, who attended the annual conference held in Dunedin recently, gave a very interesting report on all aspects of the conference from the .dresses worn by the ladies eonducting affairs from the stage to the results of the voting -on the various remits. Mrs. Mitchell stated that some 200 visitors attended in addition to the 400 delegates who represented the 21,351 members of the division. This report concluded , the- business part of the meeting. , Mrs. Mitchell then welcomed and : introduced Miss O'Brien from Massey College, and extended a welcome to seVeral visitors of the W.I. and of the Moutoa branch of the W.D.F.F., besides interested visitors. Miss O'Brien addressed the gathering, her subject being the modern method of arranging flowers for decoration and display. Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mesdames E. Chester and F. Bradey, at conveniently placed tables, the bowls of flowers and blazing fire giving a homely touch. The results of the morithly competitions were as follows:— Three rock cakes: Mrs. C. Guerin 1, Mrs. L. H. Best 2, Mrs. F. Bradey 3. Hand-worked handkerchief :'Mrs. L. H. Best 1, Mrs. R. J. Miers 2, Mrs. C. Guerin 3. Spring flower: Mrs. Guerin 1, Mrs. Miers 2, Mrs. H. Aitchison 3. The competitions set for September are two pieces of shortbread, a patch and a spring bulb.
