'Following "a short illness, the death occurred recently at the residence of her sister, Mrs. Will Richards, Epsom, Auckland, of Miss Caroline Elizabeth Richards, third daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Richards, pioneer residents of Shannon. Miss Annette Mitchell, who is to be married towards the end of this' month, relinquished her teaching duties at Hamilton an'd is now at home with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. K. Mitchell, "Drimintoran," East Road. Local friends of Miss Pat Moynihan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. Moynihan, East Road, will be interested to hear that she fias passed her State examinafions (medical and surgical) for purses. Nurse Moynihan trained at the Wellington Hospital and it is her intention to continue studying in another branch of the nursing profession. Milking Shed Repairs Lack of cement has ' held up much work on dairy farms in. this district dufing the off season, and the farmers concerned have expressed disappointm'ent at the failure of the supply of cement for dairy shed improvements and maintenance. It is understood that supplies are now coming to hand, but they are too late for the farmers, who are now occupie'd with the work of the new season.
