Mr. Barber / the-fL intfoduced Messrs. S. Long and U. Bch^abej of the board's engineering staff, who spoke interestingly on the survey work and the .methods to be adopted to give settlers more accurate warning of possible floods. They also spoke on the dangers of soil erosion and gave a general outline of flood protection work. Following the addresses films on protection and prevehfion' works being carried out at 'Te Awa Awe, Feilding, were shown. The speakers were accorded .hearty votes of thanks for the most interesting and instructive evening.
