A Maori father who failed to provi/Uthc necessitics of life for his 8-vear-old son who later died, was senteneed to oue year's imprisonment with hard labour by .Mr. Justice Gresson today. Prisoner was Potl Ivahi- Waipa rata, aged 38, driver, of Taheke, North Auckland. His counsel, Mr. Williams, said prisoner had a eonsiderable affection for his wife and children.
