WELLINGTUN, August t. Queueing up for admission, hundreds of women thronged the galleries of the House of Representatives tonight. Sooh aftcr the IIousc resumed at 7.30, ; all available seats were occupied ineluding those in the seperate gallery usually reserved for members of the Legislative Gouneib In sey.eral parts^ of the gallery those who could not obtain seats stood eraning for a glimpse of speakors on the floor below. The reason for the large attendance which almost surpassed that of Budget nights, was not. in the business of the House but in the fact that delegates to the New Zealand Women's Institutes' conference now being held at Wellington, apparently had a free evening.
