Funeral Of The Late Mr. G. H. Astridge
Fitting testimony to the esteem in which the late Mr. George Henry Astridge was held in the community was evidehced in the large nutnber of citizens* wha attended his funeral yesterday. Among ihe mourners were many members of the Manchestbf Unity of Independent Order of Qddfellows, to which Mr. Astridge had dqvotfed k life-tjine bf service. ' 5' / g3' ; A service held at ' the late resi--dehbe Was well attbnded, Adjutdnt E. Majdr, of the Salvation Army:, officiating. Then pall-bearers were Messrs. R.,'R. M. and N. W. Teal, F. HudsOri, W. Nielsen and J. Collis. The cortege to.the Levin Cemetery was led by • six cars cqntai'nihg representatives, of the Gddfeliows' . Lodge.
