The army and police seored the ' liggest success thus far against the '■ommunist insurgents oi Centiar Malaya, Avhen thev strucky at dawn this morning against two hideouts in the jungle area south of the Batuarang "oallield. Latest reports show 32 insur gents killed and 20 taken prisoner^ _ No police or military casualties are reported thus far. The troops involvcd in ■duded niembers of the Royal Artillery operating as infantry. The main objective wask'guerrilla iiead(|uarters from whieh a raid on the •ollierv was made' recentlv. 0 The heail[uarlers was well protected by a rin;of sentries but the combined striking force took the insurgents eoinpletely b\ -urprise. The troops and police set .ire to numerous buildings 'used by tio insurgents. Auster spotting aircraii aided the ground forces. Terrorists murdered four more Fhincse last night — two- in Pahang State and two in Negri Sembilan — and killed a sjiecial constable in an attack m a police slation near Kuantan on he east coast.
