Annual Meeting Of Nursery Play Centre

The annual meeting of the Levin Nursery Play Centre . was field recently, when" the continuation ' Of the centre wa & discussed, Bpth members and mothers expressed their keen desire for the centre to continue, and a small.. committee was set up to conSider its futdre operations. „ SupervisoFs Report The supervisor of the centre^ Miss E. Atack, in her annual report, said that the attendance . last year had not been very Iarge. She paid tribute to their excellent Work'. Miss Atack had thus been left as sole supervisor and she had rendered service for which the centre v/as ..very gratefuL During: the year another ; valued worker, Mrs. C. S. Keedwell, ' who was at present on, an extended trip to Englarid, had been lost temporariiy. The centre had despatch•ed a food paxcel to her, this having been kindly packed by Mesdames Black and Davies. " ; - ! . The finanees had benefited by a grant of £26 from art unidn moneys, continued Mrs. Burdekin, while fadvice' had been received that; •the j centre was to share in the T.- G. Macarthy Trust's grant of £35 -to fthe Wellington Play "Centre Asspciation for the district. The street and shop appeal had beeri -very Isuccessful and thanks. were due'to the publie for their ' generous • su||port. .
