4 BLENHEIM, June 29. rSome 30 witnesses are being cailed by the Crown in the ease in the Magistrate's Court in which Joseph William Gurr, the driver of the south-bound express which was involved in the sinasli at Blind River on February 25, f'aces two charges of manslaughter. Both charges are concerned witirthe deatlis of passengers killed in the crash. Mr. W. T. Churchward is condueting the ease for the Crown, and Gurr is represented by Mr. II. R. Wild, of Wellington. It is expected the taking of evidenee from the Railways Department emphjyees will be completed today, aua that the passengers will be heard tomorrow, leaving Thursday for hearmg of evidenee of experts.
