Gift Evening At Tokomaru

A pleasant gift evening was held in tne Tokomaru Hau recently to honour Miss Iris Hansen, whose marriage to Mr. W. Giliiland took piace on Saturday. A large number oi frxends from Linton and Tokomaru were present and the time was spent in dancing, Mr. M. Griffith acting as M.C. The results of the novelty dances were: Lucky Gay Gordons, Mi'ss White and Mr. W. Smith; statue waitz, Miss H. Rix and Mr. S. Algie. After the servmg -of supper in the supper room, Mr. Grilfiths called on Miss Hansen to accept the large array oi gifts from her many friends of both districts. Mr. GiliiLand suitably replied on behalf of Miss Hansen, conveying special thanks to those wh-o had organised the evening.
