German Doctors To Pay For Crimes
Received Thursday, 1 a.m. BERLIX, June 2. Sevgn of the 25 German doctors and S.S officers who were sentenced to death by United States War Crimes Courts were hanged today at Lanasberg. They were found guilty of killing and maimiug tliousands of persons m Xazi concentration camps, in medical experiinents. Those executed included S.S. General Ivarl Brandt, Hitler's personal physician, who once boasted: "Here is one German the Americans will never hang. " Brandt, in a iinal speech, called the eonviction mere political revenge. He asked: ' ' IIow can a nation wrhieh itself experiinents with humans, dare judge others who do the same " He ignored a warning to cut the speech short and the black hood was thrown over his head, smothering his last words. The charges arose from tlieNazi genoeide programme and high altitude experi'ments.
