May Meeting Of Te Horo Women's Institute
The May meeting of the Te Horo Women's Institute was held in the Te Horo public hall recentiy. The president, Mrs. R. Johnson, welcomed the fair attendance. She then calied on Mrs. C. Strom for the motto, "How many times has Man thrown up his arms when a little more patience, a little more effort, would prov.e success." Mrs. Johnson was appointed by the meeting as delegate to attend the Dominion conference in Wellington. In appreciatioii of the work done for them in sending parcels of food •and clothing, the institute link oi Little Crompton, England, sent a bopk entitled "The English Cottage." This was received by the meeting with much appreciation. It contains most interesting pictures of houses in Gloucestershire. A competition pr.esented by the president was won by Mrs. D. Grant. Mrs. L. Styles gave a short address on kindnesses shown to her in the j Palmerston North Public Hospital. | The winners of the May cornpetitions were as follows: — SanG .posy: Mrs. C.
