Popular Te Horo Residents Farewelled
Members of the Te Horo Metho- : dist Church and fnends recentiy ' gathered to bid farewell to Mr. and I Mrs. C. Christian, of Te Ploro. a i large number of residents congre'gated in the Te Horo Hall to wisn ihe guests good luck in their new venture, a tann Mr. Christian nas; bought near Te Awamutu. A programme of games and com- : petitions was arranged by Mesdames L. Styles and C. Strom. A! commun.ty sing was held under the ; leadership of Mrs. Styles, while Mrs. Christian entertained with two comedy sketches. On behalf of the members of thei Methodist Church, the Rev. R= Grice spoke of the work aone for, the community by the two guests. A small presentation was made to Mr. and Mrs. Christian and a shoulder spray was presented to Mrs. Christian. Mr. Christian spoke briefly and thanked his friends for the evening. A delicious supper was sefved and the smging of Auld Lang Syne brought the even.ng to a ciose.
