Fast Hockey In Game At Levin

A good fast game was seen at Levin on Saturday morning when ■Levin met Levin Colts in the Horowhenua hockey competition. It appeared early that the Colts were going to hold Levin to a very tight game, but the older team soon found the weaknesses of their opposition and won by three goals to nil. A little more combination in the forward line of the Colts will see a considerable advancement in the strength of the -team. Goodwin and Lyons scored the goals for Levin. j Saturday saw the College girls 1 out for their first game, which was, against Rahui, a more experienced! team. With further coaching om the rules, combination and posi-j tional play, College will show a; vast improvement. Rahui had thej advantage of the game and man-! aged to net six goals. Mrs. T.1 Ropata, Miss M. Bevan and Miss P. Coctes scored the goals. The results of all games on Saturday were as follows: — Ladies: Rahui 6, College 0; Raukawa B 7, Textiles A 0; Raukawa A 5, Textiles B 0. Men: Te Horo 8, Raukawa 0; Lbvin 3, Levin Colts 0. The competition fixtures for Saturday next are as follows: — Men: Levin Colts v. Raukawa, at Otaki at 3 p.m.; Rahui v. Te Horo", at Te Horo at 2 p.m.; Levin A, a bye. Ladies: College v.
