Gaol For Journalists Who Print "Leaks"

Reeeived Wednesday, 7 p.m. WASHINGTON, May 4. The House Rules Committee today approved a Bill that would permit the gaoling of journalists who print "leaks" of conlidential information given to Congressional committees. The Bill, which still lxas to be passed by the House and Senate and approved by the Presxdent, provides that executive departments should supply Congres'sional committees with whatever information they need but if the information is confidential it would be an offence for anvone to divulge or publish it. The maximuni penalty would be one year 's gaol and a 1000 dollars fine.
