MAY DAY VIOLENCE
Received Sunday, 8 p.m. SEOUL, Alay 2. The American military authoi'itie> announced that six persons, ineludiug two women, were lcilled in Alay Dav violenee on the southern Korean island of Cheju. The violenee was blamed on Korean Cominunists bent on disruptinu the elections called for South Korea oii May 10. The announcement stated that 5 i guerrillas attacked the village of Orari and were driven off by Korean poiice after a three-hour battle. In all, aboiU (50 raiders, villagers and poiice hav* been killed on Cheju sinee the attaeks began.
