Moutoa Pony Club's Rally
Once again fine weather favoured the Moutoa Pony Club for its competition rally last week, ahd there was a good attendance of members and spectators. It was, as usuai, a very suceessful day. Members are looking for ward to the combined Horowhenua rally on the Levin racecourse on May 12. An excell^nt programme has been aiiranged^ for the club's next rally,, which will be held on Saturday. Prizg money and trophies .will be awarded to the various winners, and the club extends an invitation to anyone . wishing to attend. The following were the winners of last Saturday 's events: — Bending, 9 to 12 years, B, Newth; 13 to 16 years, J. Barber, M. Newth; 17 to 20 years, G. Podgusky. Potato and bucket race, 9 to 12 years, B. Newth; 13 to 1« ^ears, N. Newth; 17 to 20 years, Miss R. McMillan. j ^ Trotting race, 17 to 20 years, Miss V. Sanson; 13 to 16 years, M. Newth. Best girl rider; Miss M. Podjusky 1, Miss N. Matthews 2. • Best boy rider: M. Newth 1, J. Barber 2. Best car.ed for gear and pony: P. McErlean 1, M. Podju&ky 2, E. Jellyman 3. Instructors' and senior members' trotting race: S. Barber 1.
