ACTION WANTED AGAINST NEWS DISTORTION.
Received Tuesday, 7 p.m. GENEVA, April 20. The Freedom of Informatiou Conferenee unanimously adopted an Australian resolutiou designed to encourage States to take positive aetion against warmongering and news distortion. The resolutiou, which was much toned'down from the original fovuq asked Governments to inform I'nited Nations' Secre-tarv-Geueral of the methods they have taken to co.mbat warmongering ' aua distortion. It recommended United Natious to, consider taking aetion, and that appronriate national bodies shoulci supplement the work of journalists' associations in ensuring an impartiaJ presenlation of news and opinions:
