Women's Section Of R.S.A.
There was a fair attendance of members at the April meeting of the Women's Section of the Shannon R.S.A. , held in Laurvig's Hall on Saturday evening. As the result of last year's success, it was decided to again hold-a luncheon in Laurvig's Hall on Anzac Day for the wives and children of R.S.A. members. Four' members again volunteered to sell poppies on Poppy Day as on former oceasions. Following the completion of formal business, a competition was held which resulted in Mes'dames Sell and Robertson being placed first (equal) and Mrs.. Guerin second. In the kettle-fiolder competition, Mrs. Sell was placed first, Mrs. Guerin second- and Mesdames Third an'd Quinlan third (equal). The folk>wing were the results of the usual bloom competition:— Mrs. Guerin 1, Mrs. Third 2, Mrs. i Quinlan 3. After the meeting concluded, members entertained the menfolk at supper.
