Levin Table Tennis Club's Meeting
A goocl attendance of members, auguring • well for the coming season, was a feature of the recent annual meeting of the Levin Table Tennis Club. The resignation of Mr. M. Fox as secretary-treasurer was received with regret. Officers elected for the ensuing year were as follows; — Patron: Mr. C. Larsen; president: Mr. P. Meddings ; vice-presidents: Messrs. N. M. Thomson, F. H.- Wade, F. Ryder, L. Traverse C. Rathbone, W. Donnelly and J. A. Barratt; club captain: Mr. S. Aitken: vice-captain: Mr. D. Henderson; seci'etarytr.easurer: Mrs. S.^R. Kenpy,; com'rfti'ttfee ? M'!^sesfL*. ~Ma!ughahl' and r, Grigg, Mrs, M. Haynes and Messrs, M. Fox, R.- Close' and T. Ryder. It was decided to open the season on Tuesday next at 8 p.m. in the Druids' Hall with a Yankee tournament, to which all players and in-; tending members are invited. The offer of Mrs. M. Haynes, previous winner of the New Zealand doubles and Hutt Valley singles championships, to act in the capacity of coach, was gratefully accepted. It is the intention of the club to affiliate with the Manawatu Table Tennis Association, enabling members to enter the grade championships if they so desire.
