Another New Air Speed Record
Received Tuesday, 10 a.m. LONDON, April 12. ' The de Havilland test pilot, John Derry, established a new record of 605.23 m.p.h. for a 100 kilometres (824 milesl closed circuit. He flew a ae Havilland 108 experimeptal jet-propelled plane wiih sweptoack wings. Mr. J. Lithgow established the previous record of 569.88 m.p.h. in February.
