The following statement of balances. as at March 31 in connection with the various accounts of the Shamion Borough.. Council was tabled by the toWn clerk, Mr. J. T. Bovis, at the meeting of the couiicil last Tuesday evening: — The general account" shows a credit - of £579. 4s; the. library account a crejdit of £20 18s 5d; cemetery account p. credit of. £3 19s 9d; hospital levy . account a credit of £33 6s 9d; he'avy traffic fees account a credit of £122 14s 5d; water supply account a credit of £19 16s ld; water supply flood dainage repair- account a predit. of £45 6s ld; sanitation account a debit of £68 8s . 3d; waterworks loan a debit of £152 18s 4d; special tare account a credit of £89 16s 3d; conversion loan interest account a credit of £61 15s 2d; conversion loan account No. 2 interest account a credit of £32 17s' 8d; redemption loan interest account a credit of £36 17s 8d; and Stansell drain interest account £12 12s 5d. The credit balance in the Bank of New Zealand stands at £994 16s 4d.
