Health Inspector's Report
The health apd sanitation inspector, Mr. W. J . Guinan, presented his report for the three months ending March 31 to the Shannoh Borough Council at its fortnightiy. meeting last week.. The report, which was adopted by the council, was as follows:— "No cases of infectious diseases were reported. Six visits to habitations, which include dwellings, hotels, boarding houses, etc., were carried out and two requisitions served. Five food selling premises were inspected and no requisitions served. Three inspections • of plumbing and draining were carried out and two requisitions served. Two samples of milk and one of water were taken. Six septic tank systems were tested and approved. Inspections have been made at the four halls in .the town. The two licehsed hotels," saleyards, nightsoil ; and rubbish dump. have been inspected., Complaints about fowl nuisances have beeri attended to, An inspection- of the school swimming baths, and.'matters ;in' connection with the chlorination ;Of the water were attended jto. Inspections have been made at the new State houses in connection with drainage matters and other detail matters have; • received attention.^ !
